I went to both the University of Kansas and Kansas State University. I received my Bachelors degree from Kansas State University but still consider myself a die-hard Jayhawk fan! I have worked in Poudre School District since 1997. After receiving my original degree, I went back to school to get my teaching certificate at Regis University. I love working at Shepardson Elementary! I look forward to meeting all of you!
I am married to Pete and have two daughters, Mallory and Bridget. Both of my girls went through Poudre School District and graduated from Rocky Mountain High School. I have a granddaughter named McKenzie. I love spending time with her! I was born and raised in Kansas. A lot of my family still lives there. Kansas was a wonderful place to grow up!
I love rocks (especially heart shaped ones)! I already have a great collection of rocks that my students have given me! I like to go on hikes, and often come home with my pocket full of rocks. I love to travel and was lucky enough to go to Ireland where my grandparents were from. I also love to read! I have been in a book club for years, though these days I find myself primarily reading books for school. I have a passion and soft spot in my heart for all animals, but especially my dog, Junebug. In the summer I enjoy gardening and planting lots of flowers in my yard. It's a great day when I can spend it with family and friends!
