Hello Shepardson Families!

I am thrilled to join the Shepardson community as a Kindergarten teacher and look forward to getting to know you all!

As a Fort Collins native, I attended PSD schools (CLP Elementary and Junior High), and am a proud Poudre High School Impala. After attending Colorado State University for my undergraduate degree with a focus in Human Development and Family Studies, I moved to Denver where I taught preschool and worked in childcare for two years. Here, I attended the University of Colorado- Denver, where I received my teaching certificate for elementary education. I moved back to Fort Collins upon accepting a position at Kruse Elementary School, where I taught third grade for seven years. In 2018, I decided to return to school for my Master's degree in Educational Technology Leadership, and upon my return to the classroom, taught last year at PSD Virtual as a 4th grade teacher. I am absolutely thrilled to now be joining the amazing Kindergarten team at Shepardson!

When I am not following my passion in education, I can be found hiking out on the numerous trails in Fort Collins and surrounding areas, paddle-boarding at Horsetooth Reservoir, taking my rottweiler (Maverick) for a walk or to the dog park, or snuggling my cats (Jade and Oliver). I love to read, listen to podcasts, play piano, and work on DIY projects around my house when I am not outside.

I look forward to meeting you and your children!

Jessica
