I attended the University of Minnesota - Duluth for my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Secondary English Literature. I began grad school at the University of St. Thomas where I earned my master's degree in autism spectrum disorders. I started my teaching career as a Kindergarten teacher in Minneapolis, MN and later moved into teaching special education in an autism program in the Twin Cities. This is my sixth year in the classroom.
I was born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minnesota and loved lake life there, but needed some mountains in my life. My husband, Marty (also a public school teacher) and I moved to Loveland in June 2016 and absolutely love it here. We have a French bulldog named Pearl and cat named Larry and enjoy spending time in our backyard out in the sunshine.
I love spending time outdoors in any season of the year. I enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, camping and fishing whenever I can. Much of my free time is also spent on house and yard projects in our new home in Loveland.
