I have an undergraduate degree in Communications from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. I minored in Spanish and speak un poquito ahora. I have a Master's degree in Biopolotics from Northern Illinois University. After working at the San Antonio Water System as an Education Planner, I decided that being in the classroom was my real love, so I went back to get my alternative certification in elementary education.
I grew up in Dallas, Texas, and went to school in San Antonio. I moved to Illinois for my graduate degree, and then to Ohio after I married my husband, Robert. We lived there while he earned his Master's in Music. Afterwards, we moved to Arizona and back to Texas, where we lived from 1998 to the summer of 2014. My sister lives in Fort Collins and was always trying to convince us to move here. It only took her nine years!
My husband, Robert, and I have two sons, Benjamin, who attends CSU, and Sebastian, who is at Rocky. They keep us busy with all kinds of extra-curricular activities. In our spare time, we love to explore Colorado and take part in all the wonderful outdoor activities here. We are all very glad to be in beautiful Fort Collins!
I believe being well educated is a foundation for being a productive and positive member of our society, so I love being a teacher. I also love spending time with my family, reading, making jewelry (mostly all the weird earrings I wear) and have found new loves since we've moved to Fort Collins - bike riding, paddle boarding, and skiing!
