About Me!
I grew up just outside of snowy Buffalo, New York and completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Rochester, New York. I moved to Fort Collins in the summer of 2016. In our spare time my husband and I enjoy hiking, camping, paddle boarding, skiing, and spending time with our dogs (Kevin and Lucy).
I have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Students with Disabilities from St John Fisher College. I earned my Master's degree in Teaching and Curriculum specializing in Elementary Education from the University of Rochester. After various jobs in general and special education in upstate New York, I moved to Fort Collin to continue my career as an Integrated Services teacher in Poudre School District. Several years as an integrated services teacher has shaped me into a passionate and thoughtful educator who specialized in meeting unique learning needs. After several years as an Integrated Services teacher, I transitioned to a second grade classroom. I have loved teaching second grade for the past several years.
I look forward to working with Shepardson's awesome second graders this year!
