I grew up just outside of snowy Buffalo, New York and completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Rochester, New York. I moved to Fort Collins in the summer of 2016. In our spare time my husband and I, enjoy rock climbing, hiking, camping, skiing, and spending time with our dogs (Kevin and Lucy).
I have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Students with Disabilities from St John Fisher College. I earned my Master's degree in Teaching and Curriculum specializing in Elementary Education from the University of Rochester. After various jobs in general and special education in upstate New York, I moved to Fort Collins in the summer of 2016 to continue my career as an Integrated Services teacher in Poudre School District. Several years as an integrated services teacher has shaped me into a passionate and thoughtful educator who specialized in meeting unique learning needs.
I look forward to working with Shepardson's awesome second graders this year!
