About Me!
I have BS in Journalism from the University of Wyoming. I began working at Shepardson as an Instructional Paraprofessional in 1998. I was the Enrichment Coordinator at Shepardson from 2001 to 2009. I began teaching Technology in 2002 and have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the Media/Technology team since then. I added the STEM Coordinator role during the 2015-2016 school year and transitioned into coordinating STEM and PBL full time. Additionally, I started teaching a K-5 STEM Special during the 2022-2023 school year and what a great adventure that has been! I love helping Shepardson STARS become capable users of technology, creative thinkers and problem solvers, and innovators.
I was born and raised in Wyoming. I graduated from Star Valley High School and attended the University of Wyoming, and that is where I met my husband. I have lived in Wyoming, Utah, Washington State, and Colorado. I have three adult children and who all graduated from Fort Collins High School. All my children are married now and have started their own families. I six grandsons and two granddaughters, who along with my children, are the pride of my life.
I love to read, listen to classical music, and spend time with my family. I am a "tech nerd" at school and home - I love to apply the things I learn and teach to the children at school to my own personal projects. I am enjoying learning all I can about STEM, Problem-based Learning, Makerspaces, and Innovators and Growth Mindset. I also enjoy giving volunteer service in our community, schools, and at my church.
