About Me!

I have been volunteering and working at Shepardson since 2002. I have worked with small and large groups in literacy and math. In my current role, I meet with 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students for reading and math enrichment.

I have a BS in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Labor and Industrial Relations. Both of these are from the University of Illinois. My professional career (before kids) was training adults.

I grew up in Illinois and Iowa. After graduating from college, I moved with my husband to Fort Collins and we have been here ever since. We have two boys who both attended Shepardson, Lesher Middle School and Fort Collins High School. Our oldest son graduated from CSU. He currently lives in Mexico City and is working on obtaining a second bachelor’s degree in Math. Our younger son graduated from CU - Boulder and works for a private equity firm as a Financial Associate in San Francisco. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, playing Ticket to Ride, hiking, kayaking, skiing, Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza, paper crafting and cheering on the Chicago White Sox.
