About Me!

As a CSU grad, I fell in love with Fort Collins and quickly learned that Shepardson was my teaching home. My husband and I settled into the community and started our family back in 2011. We love spending time outside with our kiddos and are so thankful to live in this wonderful community. Our hobbies tend towards wandering and exploring along the Poudre and local trails or eating at local places.

I’m also an avid reader and that guides much of our classroom experiences as well. Helping out with book recommendations is one of my favorite things! Gaining a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction has also fueled my passions and priorities in providing high-quality instruction that is inclusive and engaging for every single learner.

All my children have been Shepardson stars; our oldest is heading off to middle school this year and we also have a 4th grader, 2nd grader, and our youngest is coming into Kindergarten. You might also notice that the school health tech has my same last name; that’s because she is my mother-in-law! This will be my third year teaching 4th grade but I’ve been teaching at Shepardson since 2014.
