About Me!

I graduated from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. My classroom experience began as a parent volunteer which I enjoyed so much I joined PSD in 2012 as an Early Childhood family mentor for Head Start families.  From there I became an instructional para at Shepardson and eventually assisted with literacy intervention for all grade levels. This will be my 9th school year at Shepardson and my fifth year as a fifth grade teacher.

I am a native of California but grew up in Austin, Texas.  I have also lived in Virginia and North Carolina before moving to Fort Collins in 2008. My family includes my husband, two children, three cats and one very large Alaskan Malamute.  We love life in Colorado and are proud to call Fort Collins home.

My priority is my family so I enjoy spending as much of my time with them as I can. We love to travel, explore the outdoors, and support each kiddo in their sports and various activities.  In my free time, I enjoy going to concerts, traveling, reading, exercising (all types) and being outside as much as possible.
