About Me!
I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication and Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in 2000-2001 in Poudre School District. I taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade. After completing my Master's degree and Doctorate at Colorado State University in Educational Leadership (spring 2008), I continued at CSU as faculty and lead the Early Childhood Teacher Licensure (Birth- age 8) program for 11 years. In 2020 it was time for me to get back to working with kids and families! I'm grateful for the opportunity to focus on helping students with reading to best meet their potential.
I grew up in Fort Collins. My husband and I have two boys and we enjoy being outside together. My favorite activities are hiking, yoga, running, biking, and skiing. I can be found fishing occasionally, but usually choose to read and observe while the boys perfect their angling skills.
